The Stone(s)
The focal point of this design is a 1.04-carat authentic antique-style round rose cut lab grown diamond. Unlike modern brilliant cuts designed for internal brilliance, the rose cut features a flat base and a faceted crown dome comprised of wide, triangular facets. This geometry creates a glass-like transparency and a wide, silvery flash of light. Graded I-VS2 by the International Gemological Institute (IGI), the center stone is eye-clean and displays a warm, near-colorless tone that pairs naturally with yellow gold alloys. Encircling the center dome is a micro-halo of 18 round brilliant lab grown diamonds totaling 0.18 carats. These accent stones are graded EF color and VS clarity, providing a high-dispersion frame that contrasts with the architectural, open facets of the central stone.
The Setting
The setting physics are engineered to support the unique low-profile architecture of a flat-base stone. Six small, triangular claw prongs are placed symmetrically around the girdle of the rose-cut diamond, securing it flush against the base without masking its outer diameter. The entire head rests upon a scalloped under-bezel, a structural wheel design visible from the profile that elevates the stones just enough to allow light entry from beneath via an open-back gallery. The 18 accent diamonds are anchored using a shared-prong pavé technique, minimizing visible metal between the stones to create a dense, uninterrupted border of light around the central rose cut.
Metals and Finish
This piece is standard-built in 14K gold (585 purity purity identifier), offering an optimal industrial balance between gold content and tensile strength for active daily wear. The ring is also customizable in 10K gold (417) for maximum scratch resistance, 18K gold (750) for a richer alloy hue, or 950 platinum for a dense, naturally hypoallergenic frame that provides ultimate prong security. The shank features an ultra-slim 1.5mm high-polish solid round profile wire design that tapers gently into the head. The low-profile dome of the rose cut sits closer to the finger than a standard cathedral setting, making it exceptionally resilient against catching or snagging during daily routines.
Customisation and Origin
Every ring is made-to-order and fully customizable during our standard post-purchase confirmation process. Within 24 hours of checkout on primiraluxury.com, our workshop team contacts you via WhatsApp and email to verify your exact specifications before manufacturing begins. You can modify the center stone carat weight (available from 0.25ct up to 10ct+), adjust color and clarity tiers, or select alternative band finishes including satin, matte, or hammered textures. Standard production requires 15–35 business days from specification confirmation to final quality check. International shipments are fully insured and tracked via DHL or FedEx. Crafted in Surat — the city that cuts 90% of the world’s diamonds — and shipped factory-direct.
OPTIONAL FAQ BLOCK
Why does a rose cut diamond look different from a standard round diamond?
The rose cut is an antique geometry dating back to the 1500s. While a standard round brilliant diamond has a pointed pavilion underneath and 57 to 58 facets designed to bounce light internally, a rose cut has a flat base and a domed top with fewer, larger triangular facets. This gives the stone a distinctive clear, liquid appearance and a lower profile on the hand.
Can I choose hand-cut moissanite instead of a lab grown diamond for this design?
Yes. Every Primira Luxury piece offers two distinct stone configurations at checkout. You can select the primary IGI-certified lab grown diamond option or choose our hand-faceted moissanite (D-E-F color equivalent, VVS clarity). Our moissanite center stones are cut by hand in our Surat facility to control refractive dispersion and prevent the artificial look common in mass-produced, machine-cut moissanite stones.
What happens if I need a quarter size or a custom band width?
Because we are a direct manufacturer, your ring is built from scratch. During the 24-hour verification window after your order is placed, you can specify half sizes, quarter sizes, or request adjustments to the standard 1.5mm band width directly with our engineering team via WhatsApp.
